Assign Engineering Nodes within a License Group - Commercial Managers
From the Dashboard page select the license group
Go to the Engineering Nodes Tab
Select the button Assign for the license you want to use
If you need to use the license yourself select your account in the dropdown list and continue to the next step. Otherwise, select the user you want to assign the license to and press assign without filling out username and fingerprint, the assigned user should be able to do this from their own account now. In case the user did not exist before you can press the button Create User and fill out their information. After they have registered you should be able to assign the license to them in the same way.
Download the fingerprinter that matches your machine
Run it in the command line/terminal in order to receive your fingerprint
Fill in the license with your machine's username and the received fingerprint
A button with a link will be generated next to the license in order to download your client
Assign Engineering Nodes within a License Group - Commercial Users (Non Managers)
From the Dashboard page select the license group
Go to the Engineering Nodes Tab
After the manager has assigned the Engineering Node to your account the license should appear
Select the button Assign for the license you want to use
Download the fingerprinter that matches your machine
Run it in the command line/terminal in order to receive your fingerprint
Fill in the license with your machine's username and the received fingerprint
A button with a link will be generated next to the license in order to download your client
Assign SW/HW Testing Nodes within a License Group
In case of commercial accounts only managers are able to assign SW/HW Testing nodes.
From the Dashboard page select the license group
Go to the Engineering Nodes Tab
Select the button Assign for the license you want to use
Download the fingerprinter that matches your machine
Run it in the command line/terminal in order to receive your fingerprint
Fill in the license with the received fingerprint
The node has been activated and the SW/HW Testing machine has been enabled for any new solvers generated with an Engineering Node from the same license group
Transfer assigned licenses
From the Dashboard page select the license group
Go to the corresponding node Tab
Select the button Tranfer next to the license you want to transfer
The existing license will be mapped as transferred and a new unassigned one will appear
Please keep in mind that the number of transfers is limited to 10 times per node type in each license group per 6 months
Additionally, please keep in mind that since FORCES PRO clients are mapped to Engineering Nodes, when transferring and assigning a new Engineering node you need to redownload and reinstall the new FORCES PRO client generated from the new node.
