Receive Computer Username
- To Assign an Engineering Node license you need to set your computer user's username in the license
- If you are not sure what to fill in you can:
- On Windows: run
echo %username% in your command line (cmd.exe)
- On MacOS/Linux: run
whoami in your terminal
- Copy the returned username to the Engineering Node
Receive Fingerprint
- To Assign a Node license you need to set your machine's fingerprint
- Download the fingerprinter that matches your machine
- Run the fingerprinter on your machine
- On Windows:
- Go to the command line (Start
cmd.exe)
- Navigate to the folder which contains the fingerprinter (write
cd <path/to/fingerprinter> and press Enter)
- Run the fingerprinter (write
<fingerprinter_name>.exe and press Enter)
- You should receive a message saying:
System ID fingerprint is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
- On MacOS/Linux:
- Open the terminal
- Navigate to the folder which contains the fingerprinter (write
cd <path/to/fingerprinter> and press Enter)
- Give the fingerprinter execution permissions (write
chmod +x <fingerprinter_name> and press Enter)
- Run the fingerprinter (write
./<fingerprinter_name> and press Enter)
- You should receive a message saying:
System ID fingerprint is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
- Copy the fingerprint to the Node
